Maggie's Monkeys

Maggie's Monkeys by Linda Sanders-Wells, illustrated by Abby Carter. Candlewick, 2009. A family of monkeys has moved into the refrigerator! At least, that’s what Maggie says. Of course, no one else can see them, but that doesn’t stop Mom and Dad from playing along, even going out of their way to accommodate the invisible visitors. An extra bowl of pudding at the table? A DO NOT DISTURB sign on the fridge? What’s a frustrated, reality obsessed brother to do?

Linda: I'm a writer. Since my first poem at about age six (where the characters were named with the only rhyming words I knew how to spell, Seven and Eleven), I've been trying to put stories into words in a way that would connect with other people. I work as a freelance writer and editor in Cincinnati, Ohio.
